Puerto Montt’s nightlife is also primarily concentrated in the downtown.

Although Puerto Montt has a complete commercial structure, we didn’t find the city very attractive. It seemed a bit disorganized and even dirty in some areas, such as the waterfront. Additionally, all the main tours take place outside of Puerto Montt, most of them leading to Puerto Varas and its surroundings. Therefore, we recommend staying in Puerto Montt for as little time as possible and then heading to other cities, such as Puerto Varas and Chiloé, which are more beautiful and offer more sightseeing options.

3. Hotel Don Luis Puerto Montt
This hotel is located in downtown Puerto Montt, in a building with typical regional architecture, just a few steps from Mall Paseo Costanera. Hotel Don Luis offers good facilities, including a restaurant, bar, gym, sauna, and parking. The rooms are simple but well-equipped and spacious. However, the parking lot is three blocks from the hotel, which may be an inconvenience.
4. Abba Presidente Suites
Located on the waterfront, this is one of the few hotels in Puerto Montt with a swimming pool. The hotel is in an older building and offers spacious and comfortable rooms, along with ocean views. It provides good value for money, combining a great location with basic comfort. The hotel also features parking, a rooftop restaurant with a sea view, and a good breakfast.
